Sophie is a friend I met through the wonderful world of Instagram. She's such a great supporter and always has my back. Sophie has some exciting plans for her future as the founder of Martha's Magic Wardrobe. Her take on feminism is much like mine and just proves, no matter how big or small, being a feminist will always make a difference.
"So when I think of feminism I don’t think of non bra wearing ladies with short hair, I think of girls supporting girls. I am such an insecure person and find that girls that take the piss out of other girls for whatever reason whether it be, the way they dress, the colour of their hair, the way they are parenting or even for having a mental health issue makes that worse. So I’ve pledged to NEVER be that girl.
Feminism to me means being that woman that helps out that other woman, being there for them offering support wherever it is needed! Being that mum that supports other mums and not putting them down for their way of parenting and telling them it’s ok.
I want to bring up my daughter to always be kind, support others and always stand up for her self. I want her to be who she wants to be and always be proud of the person she is, and never be embarrassed about anything!
So lets be those girls support and empower each other and always be the best version of ourselves!
